Children’s Ministry

The most significant learning people do (young or old) is through experience.

Then comes imagining (stories) and finally we learn through hearing new ideas and concepts. Hence Jesus first called people to “follow” him – experience his “way” of life, then he taught them through stories (parables).

Children’s Ministry in The Hunter Presbytery challenges us to focus on children’s experience of church, especially in its forms of worship and liturgy.

Messy Church and Godly Play are two ways that the church’s worship can be structured to maximise learning opportunities for children as they experience church.

Children’s Ministry Of The Hunter Presbytery

The Hunter Presbytery aims to support existing children’s ministries in their various forms throughout the presbytery. We also aim to encourage the development of new ministries and a contagious sense of “we could do that”. We also encourage awareness of and attendance at resourcing events that happen outside the Presbytery.
